Cinnamon Tea Cake Recipe

Cinnamon is a highly fragrant, spicy tree bark that is native to the Middle East and South Asia. The most common types are Cassia and Ceylon. The powder can be used for more than a seasoning on a morning toast. You can infuse it in hot water to aid the mind and body. Aside from steeping it for a beverage, you can use it to make a delicious cake.

Here is a simple cinnamon tea cake recipe:

You can use ingredients such as: egg (1), unsalted butter (60g), caster sugar (3/4 cup), milk (3/4 cup) and self-raising flour (1 1/2 cups). You also need butter (2 teaspoons) caster sugar (1 teaspoon) and cinnamon (1 teaspoon) for the topping.


* Preheat your oven to 180°C. Use some of the butter to base a round cake pan.

* Use an electric mixer to cream the sugar and butter together in a mixing bowl, add the egg to mixture and then beat well.

* Next, sift the flour and then add half to the bowl along with half of the milk. Beat this on a low speed and repeat the process of adding the remaining milk and flour then beat until it’s smooth.

* Add the mixture to the greased pan and then bake for twenty to twenty-five minutes. Allow it to cool inside the pan for five minutes before putting it on a wire rack. After that, you can remove the paper and turn the cake upside down. Spread the butter and then sprinkle with the sugar and cinnamon while it is still hot.

It is quick to prepare and bake. When done, you can slice it and serve hot. Please note that you should use cinnamon with caution as it can be intense and some people have experienced allergic reactions after using the powder.
